The mahogany veneer case has been refinished and there are several areas where veneer has been replaced or veneer chips remain. The dial is original but has had some restoration. The hands are later replacements. The bottom glass is original but has some flaking. The movement is unsigned. The label inside the case indicates that the firm of Pettibone and Peters in Brooklyn was a manufacturer of clocks and looking glass frames. This is a very unusual NY Style 4 column clock in terms of its size, design and the use of an 8 days, weight time, strike and alarm movement.
