French swing clock, "GLT, Paris" 8 days, movement c1890, later bronzed figural base of white metal. the swinging "arm" or brass drum + pendulum are nice quality and show an old patina. The signed "Medaille D'Or" movement is high quality, and with the mark of the famous clock inventor / engineer Guilmet (GLT). The porcelain dial is nice but the bezel needs a round glass. We believe that the statue base, with its "L'INDUSTRIE" name plate, is later; and the surface is fairly fresh although flaking in a few spots (painted without primer). Ht 32" overall.
