Howard Clock Co., Boston, Mass., "No. 2 Banjo" wall clock, 8 days, time only, weight driven movement in a rosewood grained cherry case with reverse painted throat and lower tablet and painted metal dial, c1885 the clock is in excellent original condition including finish, nicely rubbed down. The dial retains its original paint with bold numerals and script signature and unusual grommet, which appears to be period. There is a 1 3/4" wood strip added later to weight baffle. There are two brass strips used to secure throat to case. Ht 44"
