Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Pompeii" model spring driven 8 days, time and strike, (hour & half hour on gong) clock in an enameled iron case with a porcelain dial, visible escapement and white metal style case ornaments, c1904. The iron case has been repainted black with the gilt inlay on the case front designs now gone. The bronzed finish white metal ornaments have all been repainted gold. The porcelain dial has a full hairline at 6. The hands appear to be later replacements. Ht 10 1/2".
