Joseph Ives or Ives, Roberts & Co., Bristol, Conn., 8 days, time and strike weight iron and brass movement mirror clock, c1818 Mahogany veneered case in an old finish with age cracks in the door veneer at the top and bottom. A piece of veneer is missing on the bottom right side of the door. Original mirror is cracked in the lower left corner. Original tablet with loss and poor restoration. Original painted interior. The top is an uncommon style of these clocks, but appears original as does the wood finial. Tips of the scrolls have been restored. The two outer chimney blocks may be replaced. Heavy iron dial has original paint with some wear to the Arabic numerals. These dials more often have Roman numerals. Hands are original.
