inside the top wooden bezel and on the top of the hinged throat door is written ÓB. F. Wood, Winchester, N.H., 3/19/41Ò. The rectangular brass movement is correct for the style. The throat glass is a poorly restored beehive motif, and the paper dial has the ÓEJSÒ (E. & J. Swigert, Cincinnati) supply-house logo. The case has an old finish, some damage and losses, and the lower round door is detached. The cast-brass top eagle finial is old and dark. No hands. Ht 36Ó
