Atkins Clock Co., Bristol, Conn. Cottage mantel clock in a rosewood veneered case with a spring driven, 8 days, time and strike movement, c1870. The rosewood case is in excellent condition with some of its original finish still intact. The painted dial has both discoloration and paint loss. The hands are original. The bottom door mirror is old, if not original. The original upper door glass with black and gilt decoration is in very good condition with some minor loss of the black paint, The label is one of the best we have seen. Ht 15 3/4".
