Revere Clock, Co., Cincinnati Ohio, (division of Herschede), "Hamilton" 9 tube tall clock playing three tunes, Westminster, Whittington and Canterbury with Telechron electric movement in a dome top mahogany case with beveled glass sides and trunk door,

the case retains its original finish. The right rear foot has damage and there is a deep gouge on upper right side near rear. The backboard over the movement is absent. The dial is in good condition. The tubes are marked Herschede. The history of the Revere Clock Co., is interesting and would eventually involve Herschede, General Electric and Telechron. Herschede followed the progress of Telechron and saw a future in their electric Westminster movements. However, not totally convinced of their quality or consumer acceptance, in 1927, he formed a new company at Cincinnati called the REVERE CLOCK COMPANY. If not successful he could shut the Revere Company down, and not greatly impact his Herschede Hall Clock Co., See Ebay guides at Revere, Telechron-GE Clock Relationships Published by slvrdollrprod for more information.
