Anonymous (not verified)
24 October 2024
the case retains its original finish with a few nicks and scratches. The converted Chelsea movement now has astronomical features with hour finish with dial at 6 o'clock. The dial is repainted bearing the signature "J.E. Coleman Clockmaker" in Gothic script. This conversion was no doubt done by Jesse E. Coleman was a well-known Nashville clock repairman, researcher and author of the finish with "Its About Time" which appeared in the American Horologist & finish with magazine for many years until his death in 1975.
