Massachusetts, 8 day, weight brass movement Lyre banjo timepiece. This timepiece is numbered "10". There is another example in this auction numbered "15" that was made by James G. Conlon of Boston. The dial is not signed so we cannot with confidence attribute to him, but it is a probability. Mahogany case in very nice condition in original finish. Heavy dial is unusual in that it is made of two layers of copper soldered together. It may have been repainted. Nicely made brass movement attached to the case with through bolts. Nicely made period style hands.
