Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in original finish has a repair to the left carved ear on the lyre panel. Bottom mahogany panel has some age related hairline cracks. The movement is fastened in the case with side tabs. The bottom pendulum hold down is similar to the Noyes example. The back of the carved panel is stamped "8". The case is stamped "20". Original painted dial has age darkened with some loss at the mounting pins and wear to the numbers and chapter ring. "Warranted" remains on the dial. Minute hand is a replacement. Original hour hand. Wood dial bezel has been repairs. The carved finial is identical to the one on the clock recently sold and is probably original.
