the case retains a very old finish. The cornice molding below the hood has a 5" split repair. The seams on some moldings have opened. The feet are old replacements. This case probably had a sarcophagus top, now absent. The dial measures 18" x 13". Please see William Drost's "Clocks and Watches of New Jersey" pages 24 -34 for similar examples.
