Mahogany case in an old finish. The bottom and throat doors both have numerous age cracks in the half round molding. There are two wood patches on the head. Neither tablets is original, but hands are period. Period dial has paint loss at the mounting screws and at the winding arbor. The paint has age but may be an old repaint. The signature looks to be a later addition and perhaps an owner's name. Wood finial is not original.
