William Smith, Musselburgh, [Scotland] skeleton clock with helical mainspring, gilt, column form base supporting the skillfully pierced and finished 8 day fusee timepiece movement, and containing the mainspring, silvered dial marked "Wm. Smith Musselburgh Maker & Inventor", blued steel hands, brass and steel pendulum, with dome and base the plinth on which the column rests is missing, clock is otherwise in good condition, gilding a bit dirty, dial with a few stains, hands good, pendulum good, will tick, needs service, front plate with empty hole at top, back plate with two holes at top, base and dome replaced.
