Curtis & Dunning, Burlington, Vermont, 8 day, weight driven patent timepiece, gilt front with gilt, rope molded frames, cast brass bezel, cast brass side arms, and turned, gilt finial, the throat glass with gilt, scrolling foliate ornament, the box glass depicting the pursuit and capture of the HMS Boxer by the USS Enterprise, signed, white painted roman numeral sheet iron dial with moon hands, and brass clad pendulum. Mahogany and gilt case in original finish has some damage to bottom board. Original painted dial has minor loss at the mount pins and is mounted to the case with two L-turns. Bottom door is has it's original L-turn, but now uses a latch. Both tablets are original with some minor loss to background. Top finial may be later. Original weight.
