Loheide Manufacturing Co., St. Louis, Missouri, "Wizard" 8 day, time and strike spring brass lever movement black mantel clock / trade stimulator.

24 October 2024
Enameled wood case in nice condition. Paper dial appears original, but has scattered light stains. Original hands. This clock was supplied by the Waterbury Clock Co. and looks to be variation of the "Java" model. A label on the back reads: "The Wizard Clock controlled by Vincent Bros., Rochester, N. Y." The clock has a coin slot at the top. When a nickel was deposited, it triggered the strike train of the clock which drives a token dispensing system. A modified countwheel will dispense one, two, and on rare occasion, three tokens in the tray mounted to the side of the clock. Tokens were then exchanged for small items at the retail location. Ten coins are included.
