Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, Conn., tall case clock, 8 day, time and bell strike, weight driven wooden works movement in a pine case with a nice folk art painted wooden dial the case has been refinished. The top crest and three plinths are replacements. The dial has minor flaking around 5 & 6 and the opening for the center arbor has been enlarged. The tin can weights are original. 8 day Hoadley tall clocks are rare in comparison to 30-hour ones.
