"J.C. Brown, Bristol", ca 1848. 19 inch mahogany veneer case is very good, if any repairs were made, they were expertly done. The frosted glass is probably original, top glass has the original putty. 8 day beehive shelf clock with movement signed "J.C.Brown, Forrestville, Ct". Dial signed by Brown has darkened with age but is very satisfactory. Two thirds of the label is intact, old pendulum bob. Probably had an alarm at one time, long removed.
