Rare Mueller's 3 piece garniture set.
One of the hundreds of castings made by this family between 1850 and 1900. After researching I feel this clock was made in the 1872-1882 time period. The design of beaten metal with bronze colored attachments is extraordinary. Note the lizards, bees, claw feet, and leaves. The case is 11 1/2 inches high, and 13 1/2 inches wide, urns are 10 1/2 inches high. No markings on the pieces. The clock is 8 day, striking a coil gong. Brocot type escapement with a regulation control and pointer below the escapement, all on a porcelain inner dial. Dial ring has been abused. It has chips and hairlines. The dial ring and bezel with large beveled glass, is very heavy. Movement is signed, "Muellers Sons, Apr.25.88". This is a new clock for me, never seen one like it.
