Double wind, 30 day spring timepiece, with the original and correct pendulum, and it is running. 8 inch signed silver dial has painted numerals and a bowed glass in the bezel. Original reverse painted glasses still with original paint. When the bottom glass began to flake a white paper cover was put over the glass to hold the paint. Rebacking with paint would have been preferred but the paper serves the same purpose and in fact enhanced the beauty of the glass.Gold plated ornamental, cast metal side rails and eagle. Signed metal beatscale. This is a rather large mahogany banjo at 40-1/2 inches high and ithas the oval bottom that seems to be so rare and liked by a lot of banjo collectors.Ly-New Haven No. 213.
