The Howard company reissued several models of their most poplar clocks of the 1800's. This cherry case model is near perfect as it should be. The only flaw I can find is the pendulum tie-down. In the past I have had many reissued Howards and some did not have a tie-down. This one was apparently installed by the recent owner but would not work in the holes drilled at the factory so he had to raise the tie-down a scoshe. This is a mighty little thing to write about but it is all I can find that is not perfect. The proper movement is signed, "Made by Howard Waltham, Mass.", and the weight has the big "5" cast on it. The glasses, dial, pendulum, and hands, are all correct and perfect. Another clock from the collector of mint clocks.
