pine secondary. Broken arch pediment topped by ball and spike brass finials, supported in the front by 2 free-standing columns. Hood door and sidelights retain original glass. Engaged quarter-columns on the waist flank scratch-beaded arched top door; case sits upon a nicely shaped skirt and straight French feet. Wooden dial has original polychrome foliate, scroll decorations in the spandrels and masonic symbols in the dial arch, and is signed S. Hoadley Plymouth (Silas Hoadley, CT, worked ca 1813-1849). Original wooden 30-hour movement. Ca 1813-1830; 93" high x 18.25" wide x 9.5" deep.Ex J.R. (Dick) Hartlieb Collection.Old, mellow refinish, some loss of height to feet, wear around the original brass door pull; overall VG.
