30-hour time and strike, weight-driven, groaner-type wooden works. Painted wooden dial, Arabic numerals, gilt central palm leaf garter and basket of palm leaves in spandrels. Pine and poplar case with ebonized and gilt half columns, broken arch splat with central turned finial, flanked by ebonized plinths. Old glass and early 20th century chromolithographed still life of vase of poppies on tablet. Original paper label. 17.2" wide x 5.5" deep x 36.5" high.Ex Paul A.
