30-hour time and strike, weight-driven, groaner-type wooden works marked T.W. & Co., thought to be for Thomas Watson & Co., Cincinnati, Ohio. Painted wooden dial, Arabic numerals, gilt floral garter center and shield and floral scrolled spandrels. Mahogany case with repainted ebonized and gilt half columns and stenciled scroll-cut splat. Inset mahogany tablet with smaller inset window (probably an early replacement). 16.8" wide x 5.75" deep x 35.75" high.Ex Paul A. Heffner Collection.As above refinished and lacks label, dial with slight paint loss, G+.
