C. 1834. the basic mahogany veneered case has been refinished; stencilled columns are original, with crazed finish, varnished over; orig painted dial with minor paint loss. movement is original to the case and hands are original. Mirror is period and appears original to the case. Old upper glass has been re-puttied in place. Bone key escutcheon has been replaced with wood. Height 35.5 inches
