Welch, Spring and Co., Forestville, Conn, USA, "REGULATOR CALENDAR No. 1", large double dial perpetual calendar clock, case of rosewood and veneers, and with 18 inch time dial and 12 inch calendar dial, C.1878

this clock lived for most of its life in Canada, and has a 1954 repair label from Emile Jacot, Quebec. The top outer bezel has a veneer repair at 6, and the entire case has been nicely refinished; a small 1 x 9 trim board is missing from the very bottom of the case (does not show). Time dial pan is original, the surface re-done by the Dial House is top rate. Long, round iron weights are original, Nice labels inside, well preserved; bottom tablet is original; pend has some dings. Uses the early "upside-down" movement, as shown in Ly's Calendar Clock book, page 341. A clean example of this model. Height 53 inches
