Clean, refinished mahogany case with only a couple small veneer repairs. The columns are mahogany and I do not think they were ever painted or decorated. The carved fruit basket crest is fine with only a few small chips on the leaf tips. All three glasses are original but the mirror does have some lifting at the right side. The lower glass has an excellent colorful reverse painting with just a bit of lifting. The painted wood dial is in very good condition and it has the mirror insert to view the escapement. The label is a little dark but it is quite complete and legible. Original hands, weights and pendulum. 8 day unsigned strap brass movement with gong strike. It does need cleaning. 37" tall.
