Rare Silas Hoadley carved column clock with upside down movement and alarm. Usually found with stenciled columns and splat, it is rare to find with fully carved columns, splat, paw feet and pineapple finials, especially in this condition. Refinished mahogany case with perfect veneer and not one chip to any of the carvings. The eagle is very well done. Great dial and label. Original weights, pendulum and hands - the tip of the alarm hand and all 3 glasses have been changed. 30 hour wood movement. It has new cords and appears to be in running order. 38" tall.
