E. N. Welch Mfg. Co. calendar clock, "St. Clair Calendar", ca 1900.
Excellent oak case is 32.5" high, complete and original. Provenance in the case says he bought this clock July 1976 for $350, from Dick Don of Phoenixville, Pa. The edge of the case has a factory mark, "939"??. This collector cleaned and polished this clock from one end to the other. It looks great but you do have the water marks on the signed paper dial. That would be the only demerit. The glass in the brass bezel is original, same with the glass in the bottom door. The hands, pendulum, wood stick, coil gong and base, the door latches, everything looks to be original. The label on the back says this clock is the, "Eclipse Regulator / Eight Day Timepiece Calendar". Well it is not a timepiece, for it strikes a coil gong. Ah, I see, it also says on the label, "The American Wringer Co.". This is a very nice clock, cleaned, polished, and ready to hang or sell. Ly-Welch No. 126.
