There is a complete paper label that says in part, "Ansonia Clock Co. Ansonia, Conn." The closest clock in Ly-Ansonia is No. 1695 and is called, "Rose and Gilt". Our mahogany veneered case is almost 14" tall, has rounded edges, gilt around the inside edge, and the door is beveled inward. Some veneer slivers, a couple on the base and one on top. Old mirror in the door and the top glass both look to be original. Very good painted zinc dial, hands, bob, and key. Clean brass movement is running and striking a coil gong.
