Tolford, Portland, Maine banjo wall clock 8 day time only weight driven movement in mahogany veneer case with reverse grain painted throat and lower tablets and painted metal dial, c1850 the case has original finish rubbed down with age split to bezel and minor veneer damage and repair to lower door. The original bottom is restored to case following weight accident and there are later braces added to support throat. The numerals and chapter ring have old touch ups and the signature appears completely original. The glass panels are very old repaints. Ht 28 3/4"
