Bingham, Nashua, NH "No. 1 Banjo" type wall clock 8 day time only weight driven movement in mahogany case with reverse painted throat and lower tablets and painted metal dial, c1840 the three door case retains its original finish rubbed down with several age splits to lower door. The tablets are proper repaints. The repainted dial has incorrect E. Howard and Co., Boston signature (that should be changed /removed to reflect the quality piece it is). The door key, pulley and brass covered weight (engraved "Regulator") are original. Belding D. Bingham was well known in New England for producing high quality regulators. Ht 49 1/2"
