Riley Whiting, Winchester, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, wood movement half column and splat shelf clock, c1830 Refinished mahogany veneered case with a couple of veneer repairs on the base and a small repair at the key escutcheon. The key escutcheon has been replaced with wood. The stenciling on the columns look to be original, while those on the splat appear to have been restored. Mirror in the door is a replacement. Original painted dial is clean with some wear to gold chapter ring and some of the numbers. The turned feet behind the paw feet maybe replacements as they are little large and not a typical design. Hands are original. Movement is original to the case. Very clean label inside case. Ht 29"
