Riley Whiting, Winchester, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, wood movement carved column and splat shelf clock, c1830. The clock appears to be made up of parts. It is composed of a refinished mahogany veneered case in nice condition with some restoration to the veneer. The backboard may have been installed in this case as there is evidence it was cut on the top and sides to make it fit and there are to many holes in the bottom of the board. Painted dial fits, but is not original. Movement is a Whiting. Mirror is a replacement. Hour hand is a replacement. Ht 31"
