Beals was a mid 19th century Boston clock dealer, and his dated label is attached inside the case next to the movement. The painted metal dial is signed; the movement is not. The case is in very good condition with a nice old finish showing a few scuffs and scratches. The two glass tablets, painted in the Howard style and colors, are replacements. Ht 28.5"
