Jerome, Thompson & Co., Bristol, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, weight groaner type wood movement reeded pilaster and scroll shelf clock. c1827 Refinished mahogany veneered case in nice clean condition. The scroll tips were nicely repaired and the veneer from the repaired area back to the small chimney on each side was replaced to hide the repair and blended to match the rest of the scroll top. Original painted dial has general wear to the numbers and a fair amount of loss in the center area. Bottom tablet is original. The center tablet is original with only a part of the border left. Hands are original. Finials are replacements. Ht 35"
