Refinished mahogany veneered case with a small piece missing right side about half way down and a couple of places on the back edge of each side. Original painted dial has some wear to the minute ring. The mirror is a replacement. Painted tablet is by Moberg. The original scroll top has suffered damage to the scrolls that have been poorly repaired. The finials are modern. Hands are original. There is a square block on each end of the scroll that someone may have added as this case design did not use them. Note wire bridge to support the escape wheel, typical of this maker. For more details on this clock, see "The Contributions of Joseph Ives to Connecticut Clock Technology, 1810-1860", by Kenneth D. Roberts. Ht 35 1/2"
