Mahogany veneered case in an old and possibly original finish with some minor loss on the door and age cracks to the veneer. Original painted dial is very nice for its age with some wear to the gilt chapter rings and the numbers having been strenghtened. Movement was made by Seth Thomas; Blakeslee's shop was nearby and they purchased movements from Seth Thomas. Hour hand is original. Minute hand is period, but has been repaired. Hands are original. Original stenciling (now faint) under a dark finish. Both glasses have been replaced. Good label. Ht 32.25"
