Refinished mahogany veneered case with some minor loss on the base. Bottom tablet is original, but cracked. Mirror is period, but a replacement. The chimneys show signs of repair. Original painted dial is fairly nice for its age. Hands are original. Key escutcheon has been replaced with wood. Dark, but readable label inside the case. This actual clock was illustrated in the book "Clocks", by Doug Shaffer, 1980, p. 46. Ht 40"
