Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in an old finish has original scrolls and feet with some loss to tips on the front skirt. The center strip on the door has been poorly repaired. Movement was made by Seth Thomas. Tablet is an old replacement having an aperture for the pendulum that is not centered. Wood painted dial is period and typical of Seth Thomas with heavy gilt corners. It also has scattered areas of paint loss, has been enlarged in the center and has a heavy worn area on the backside. Missing hands. Finials are modern copies of Seth Thomas type. The side piece behind the right column has had a repair.
